Please tell us a little about yourself and/or your area of adult learning practice/interests.
I am a Catholic nun and the Director for the centre for Leadership and Management in Tangaza University College. I have a master of Science in applied Mathematics and I have completed my research work and currently awaiting defense for my PhD Desertation in applied mathematics. The Centre for Leadership and management is basically for adult learners. For the past eight years DePaul University in Chicago through the School for New Learning have been offering degrees to our students. They have also provided faculty training in adult education.
Personally I have been involved in the adult teaching in a course called Quantitative Reasoning and Financial accounting for the past three years. Though the DePaul University does not offer degrees to our students any more, they have mentored us to begin our own home grown degree in Leadership and Management which is adult based and uses the methodology borrowed from DePaul School For New Learning.
