Enhancing Employability Through Professional Certification

On May 29, 2013, more than 50 adult learners and human resource professionals gathered to learn how they can earn college credit for professional certificates offered by DePaul's department of Continuing and Professional Education (CPE), the American Society of Training and Development (ASTD) and the Society of Human Resource Managers (SHRM). Participants learned about current employment trends and the value of professional and academic credentials in enhancing their employability. After a brief formal presentation, participants were invited to meet informally with representatives from the various associations, as well as School for New Learning academic advisors. Slides of the opening presentation can be downloaded here: Enhancing%20Employability%20Slides%20FINAL.pptx
