Do you feel the shift? The Power Shift? In the past, Information has been owned by the few. But technology has transferred knowledge to the many and it has changed the game. Students now learn from sources anywhere/anytime; grass-roots citizens have a greater role in shaping public policy; and, consumers are driving products and services like never before. As a result, we all need to reassess, adapt, and develop new strategies for success. We all are faced with a new learning agenda.
Join us February 23, 2011, from 5:30 – 8:00 p.m. at SYNC Technology Center, "Chicago’s newest, hottest tech hub” and meeting center. We are shifting to this exciting venue for the February program in keeping with the theme of Power Shift. This space promises to help us shift our perspective, conversation and thinking as we explore the impact of emerging technology on our practice with adult learners across diverse settings. We'll explore how the new paradigm is impacting the way we get information and how we learn, act, and re-act. Don't worry. We won't bog you down with tech talk. We're focused onthe HUMAN side of the power shift.
An expert panel will kick things off with opinions from a variety of perspectives, then we'll social network in-person to share insights and tap our own collective mind power.
